Databases through remote access
The online membership provides remote access to the subscribed databases for one month for the price of one daily ticket (1500,-Ft/30 days). The online registration form is available from by clicking here. Our readers who registered as a member still do not have to pay or this service, because their registration fee includes this expense element as well.
Databases available through remote access are itemised in the database collection listed in alphabetical order.
Some alterations by editing the settings of the browser – to set up the proxy settings – are necessary to use the service (help is provided below); then you can identify yourself with your valid membership card.
Attention! You can only use our databases through remote access if these conditions are met: The content provider permits and gives opportunities to use the database (through remote access). You have a valid membership card in any of our branch libraries.
You can acquire information about validity of the membership card via e-mail sent to the branch library;

The databases of scientific journals, e-books and electronic aids are made available to the users by the library in various ways. The electronic aids cover dictionaries and encyclopedias. Our online sources are partly subscribed, partly own developed or available freely. A few sources can be used only in the libraries, others are also available by remote access. The list of the sources can be found here.
(A few tutorial videos of some databases can be seen in Hungarian through the YouTube channel of the library.)
The group of our partners includes publishers and service providers such as EBSCO, Gale, ProQuest, Sage, Taylor & Francis and Electronic Information Service, among others.
