Increasing number of specialized e-textbooks is offered to readers who are interested in special literature. Our online books are subscribed. Some of them are in Hungarian, there are some books in English (among others). The main part of the collection is available by remote access; the items of the collection can be used (and read) with a membership card authorizing to borrow in all branch libraries.

Some alterations by editing the settings of the browser – to set up the proxy settings – are necessary to use the service remotely.

Entertaining and informational e-book loan via the CloudLibrary platform. The books are only available in Hungarian.
The app can be downloaded to any Android or iOS device, or used online.

Availability: The content of the database is available with valid membership card authorizing to borrow and with an online registration valid for 30 days.

L'Harmattan digital database

L'Harmattan digital database

It is the complex digital database of L'Harmattan Publishers (containing books and textbooks digitalized by L'Harmattan Publishers). Now it covers more than 1,400 special works in the fields of humanities and social sciences, mainly in Hungarian; textbooks and source publications are also included.
The documents of the collection are sorted in more than 20 disciplines, available in forms to read and search freely.

The content of the database is available with valid membership card authorizing to borrow; remote use is also possible.

Database of Kossuth Publishers

The database contains nearly 250 specialist books of Kossuth Publishing Group.
The book collection of this database includes volumes mainly in the fields of history, philosophy, social psychology, psychology and science of politics.

MERSZ - Hungarian Electronic Reference Work Service

MERSZ – Hungarian electronic reference work service (EISZ)

It is a continuously expanding electronic collection of reference works published by Akadémiai Kiadó, providing legal electronic access to several, more than 700 works; MeRSZ comes with all the advantages digital books offer. The content of the database is available with valid membership card authorizing to borrow in all branch libraries and by remote access as well.

Szaktárs database

Database of reference book publishers with full texts. It was developed to collect and make available the works of the most important reference book publishers.

The databases of all the publishers are subscribed in 2025.

The content of the database is available with valid membership card authorizing to borrow in all branch libraries. Remote use is also possible.

Typotex interbook

Typotex Interkönyv

The database contains more than 600, mostly Hungarian, publications of Typotex Publishing in pdf format.

The database includes higher education textbooks, notes and technical books in the fields of natural and social sciences, mathematics, technical sciences, medicine and arts.

Search can be made by author, title, subject, and within the text.

After registration / logging in 15 percents of the books can be downloaded and printed.

The content of the database is available with valid membership card authorizing to borrow in all branch libraries and by remote access, too.
