Online Membership for Remote Access to Databases

Effective January 1st, 2023, we reintroduced the online membership, which provides remote access to databases subscribed to by the Library for one month, for the price of one daily ticket (1500,-Ft/30 days).

The reader status associated with the virtual library card entitles you to access the Library's databases remotely, whether from home or any location outside of the library network.

Please note: Our readers who registered as a member still do not have to pay for this service, because their registration fee includes this expense element as well.

The service may be especially useful for people who cannot register in person at the library due to the geographical distance, or who do not need the possibility of borrowing physical items because they only want to use online resources.

You can apply for a virtual library card by filling out the online registration form.

Once you have filled out the online form, a confirmation email will be sent to your email account. If you cannot find your confirmation email in your regular inbox, please check your spam or junk mail folder. After completing the registration, you can pay the online membership fee by logging into the remote management interface on our website. To access this, use the information provided in the confirmation email received from the library. Payment should only be made through the SimplePay System. Once this step is complete, you will gain access to the databases subscribed to by the Library.
