From 23rd December 2024 to 2nd January 2025, all libraries of the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library will be closed. Outside of this period, we welcome our readers with the usual opening hours. Details in the article.

The library celebrated its anniversary with new services, family and reading promotion events and at the end of November the successful Budapest Book Capital program series was closed with a spectacular event. Summary with photos.

For over three decades, library specialist Tibor Sándor led the activities of the Budapest Collection at the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library until his retirement last year.

On June 6, 2024, the first public book locker in Budapest was inaugurated at Lövölde Square.

The service, currently in test mode, gives access to e-books in Hungarian. Details in the article.
