Opening of two libraries in the branch library system of Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library

First, the renewed Library of Békásmegyer will be opened on 16th August; the residents of Békásmegyer can rejoice at visiting the library again.  Renewed  (and enlarged) holdings of books, extended and modernized areas are available to readers; an exhibition and event room of 50 square meters is also added. A story corner for the youngest visitors and reader’s corner for visitors above the age of 14 are also available in the library.

The renewed  collection of 28 000 books covers children and juvenile literature, contemporary literature, belles lettres, educational volumes
(non-fiction)  and popular light literature.  35 sorts of journals and 4 dailies are subscribed to; DVDs, CDs, audiobooks and slides can  be borrowed as well.
A few days later, on 30th August, our new three-story branch library of nearly 700 square meters will be opened in the 6th district, at 2-4 Teréz körút (Teréz Boulevard).  The purpose of Boulevard Library (Körúti Könyvtár) is to become cultural and social venue meeting-place for the public, besides providing traditional modern library services. That is why learning space  (area for students to learn) as well as exhibition and event rooms are developed.

Boulevard Library has the collection of 26 000 books. Its main task is to collect contemporary Hungarian and world literature; another significant part of the library holdings covers entertaining literature. It is also important to enlarge and renew the collection of specialized literature mainly in the fields of social sciences and foreign languages; guidebooks and works of local history are also available as parts of specialized literature. 

47 sorts of journals,  4 dailies (Hungarian) and 2 dailies in foreign language are subscribed to; DVDs, CDs and audiobooks can be borrowed as well.
