The strategic goal of Telekom and the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library is to promote the acquisition and development of digital literacy and foster an understanding of digital culture through their respective initiatives, services, and programs. We consider it particularly important that social groups with less digital knowledge, such as the elderly, become acquainted with and gain access to the opportunities offered by technology. However, many of them need support and guidance for this reason. That's why we initiated our new program in partnership, where secondary school students introduce the elderly to digital solutions tailored to their level of knowledge and interest, providing real help in their everyday lives.

The free Netrevalók sessions take place in Budapest, in the 24 designated libraries of the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library, once a month, on the second Wednesday of every month, at a fixed time.
On each occasion, students introduce the elderly to the active use of devices and the Internet, as well as to digital solutions that are useful for them, based on their own level of knowledge and interest. The sessions encompass a range of topics, including social media usage, e-books, internet safety, online communication and administration, entertainment, hobbies, transportation, travel planning, photo editing, digital photography, health, and sports. It's not about formal courses; instead, it's about collectively exploring topics of interest for older individuals on the internet using the smart devices they often carry in their pockets, yet may not fully realize their potential.

Upon registering for Netrevalók program sessions on Telekom's Hello Szülők platform at www.helloszulo.hu/netrevalok, students and the elderly can submit online applications for pre-arranged sessions near their residences. We also offer participants meticulously curated topics, endorsed by IT teachers, along with a tutorial to assist with preparation through the online interface. Telekom is additionally backing the program's success through a communication campaign.

The program's ambassadors, retired television specialist Judit Endrei and popular young influencer Dániel Ungvárszki (Ungdani), represent the two generations targeted by the initiative.
