Born and raised in South Korea, Eun-Ju Lee relocated to Vienna at the age of 15 to pursue her studies in singing. She enrolled at the Vienna Conservatory, where she studied piano under the guidance of Professor Thomas Kreuzberger and graduated in opera repetition under the supervision of Prof. Kristin Okerlund. She continued her education with Professor Konrad Leitner. Throughout her academic journey, Eun-Ju had the opportunity to attend courses conducted by internationally renowned artists, including Leonid Brumberg, Krassimira Jordan, Noel Flores, Heinz Medjimorec, and Till Enger. Her talent and dedication have been recognized with prizes at various international competitions. Eun-Ju Lee has graced audiences with numerous solo piano performances, including notable venues such as the Konzerthaus in Vienna, Baylor University in Texas, and the Steinway House in Vienna. She has also showcased her piano skills in concerts alongside the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra in Brno and with the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra in South Korea. In addition to her solo career, Eun-Ju is a regular performer at music festivals in Vienna and has been actively involved in concerts at the Mozart House since 2022. Notably, in March 2022, she co-organized a charity concert for Ukraine at the Auersperg Palace in Vienna, alongside Taro Morikawa. Eun-Ju's musical journey also encompasses collaborative duo performances with notable artists such as Thomas Kreuzberger, John Wilson, and Hunrak Choi. In 2022, she established the NaNum Trio with violinist Sanghee Cheong and cellist Daesun Koh. In June 2023, she founded the Klavierfreude association (klavierfreude.at) along with Lindsey Huff and Isabel Weiser, actively supporting and promoting the piano art. Come July 2023, she received an invitation to teach piano at the Zell am See Music Festival (musikfestivalzellamsee.at). Beyond her artistic pursuits, she commenced teaching piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in 2013, holding the position of Senior Lecturer since 2020. Her passion for music education, especially for young individuals, also extends to her work in music schools in Vienna, complementing her academic commitments.
Julianna Kiss was born in Miskolc and embarked on her musical journey at the tender age of five, guided by her father. Her lifelong dream was to become a piano teacher. Studies: Egressy Béni Music School, Miskolc; Béla Bartók Music Secondary School, Miskolc; Liszt Ferenc Music Academy, Miskolc; ELTE-PPK, Master of Public Education (mentor teacher, teacher's diploma, Kovács-method); PTE Master of Music in Piano Teaching; MDW University of Music (Vienna), postgraduate studies in piano, chamber music, and tutoring. Throughout her journey, Julianna received guidance and instruction from accomplished piano instructors, including Tiborné Bacsa, Csilla Csabay, Adrienne Balázs, Margit Kincses, Csaba Király, Thomas Kreuzberger, Eun Ju Lee, and Yuki Batik. She also had the privilege of participating in courses led by celebrated musicians such as Sándor Falvai, Gyöngyi Keveházi, Attila Némethy, László Gyimesi, Tamás Vásáry, Malcolm Bilson, Alex Szilasi, and others. Julianna has graced the stages in various countries, including Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Poland, Transcarpathia, and Felvidék. She has both organized and taken part in numerous charity concerts, both at home and on an international scale. Notably, she achieved third place in the 5th Concorso Internazionale "Don Vincenzo Vitti." Her students have garnered over 500 prizes in national and international competitions. Her list of honors and awards includes the Hungarian Silver Cross of Merit in 2023 and the Bonis Bona Award for Talents of the Nation in 2013. Some significant milestones in her career comprise: initiating Talent Day in Ferencváros in 2012, becoming a member of the National Pedagogical Faculty in 2014, earning the title of master teacher in 2014, commencing work as a music consultant in 2015, co-founding the Danubia Talents international music competition series in 2016, leading international piano masterclasses and serving as a jury member in international music competitions since 2016, participating in an Erasmus program with her students in Italy in 2018. Julianna Kiss ardently supports and promotes the Kovács method.
