Mask-wearing is obligatory

It is mandatory to wear a mask in the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library from 4th November 2021

Dear Readers and Visitors!

Considering  Government Decree  597/2021. (X. 28.)  on protection against COVID,  by proceeding on the basis of assigned authority based on items 3.2 and 3.3 of Appendix No. 1 of the Municipal regulation 1/2020. (II.5.)  Mayor of Budapest requested the institutions to apply obligatory mask-wearing.

Considering the information mentioned above, in the interests of readers’ and librarians’ safety, it is mandatory to wear a mask covering nose and mouth and keep social distance in all libraries of the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library from 4th November 2021. Anyone who does not perform mask-wearing obligation is not allowed to visit the library  (and use its services personally).

Mask-wearing is not obligatory for children under the age of 6 and for mentally handicapped persons as well as people with psycho-social deficiency or autism spectrum disorder.

Visitors are exempted from mask-wearing obligation on allotted places for eating only for the time of intake.

I draw your attention to the fact that hand sanitizers are available in all libraries of our library system.

I ask for your cooperation for safe library services.

Yours faithfully,
