Free digital communication course for librarians

E-learning training covering 60 lessons is launched by Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library in Hungarian. 

Free practice oriented further education titled Digital communication in library partnership is launched by 
Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library. The course is organized for library professionals who have qualification in secondary and
tertiary education and their scopes of activities cover contacts with library users, 
(children, adults and older people are included) and other partner relationship including contacts with external partners 
as well as information sharing and program organization. 
The most important pillars of the syllabus:
  • the most important theoretical fundamentals of digital communication
  • mobile applications supporting library communication and their active use, by proper levels of proficiency
  • acquisition of the practical methods of social media and their conscious use
  • up-to-date basic knowledge of up-to-date photography and video making
Considering the great number of activities librarians have to do, they continually can apply to participate in the course. 
They can go through the course covering 60 lessons within the period of 3 months, by personal tempo, within open frame. 
The curriculum is available through Moodle framework, it can be used without prior knowledge, however, basic skills in IT are needed  
to accomplish the training. Mobile phone or tablet with Android operation system is needed to process certain parts of the curriculum;  
availability of wifi or mobile internet is also needed. 
At the end of the course, a certification can be received. 
If you are interested in some partial topics, you can participate in the training without getting a certification.
