Buda Chronicle 550
This year marks the 550th birthday of the Buda Chronicle, the first book printed in Hungary.
The National Széchényi Library, serving as the national library, celebrated this anniversary with a series of events, a dedicated website, and a facsimile edition. The Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library will receive a numbered copy of the facsimile edition on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 1 pm.
On the occasion of the public event, Gábor Farkas Farkas, the organizer of the way of Széchényi and editor of the publication, will present the birth of the book, its historical background, and the printing of the 15th century. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for questions and an informal discussion. The language of the presentation is Hungarian.
Location: Ötpacsirta Salon, Budapest VIII. Ötpacsirta u. 4.
