The service of Library Swap Point by the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library restarts from 21st April 2021
Dear Reader!
We are glad to inform you that the service of Library Swap Point by the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library is restarted from 21st April 2021 as the first phase of gradual reopening. It makes circulation possible with temporary conditions.
The list of Library Swap Points can be found in the summary table at the end of the article.
It is important to know that due dates of all valid library memberships and loans without delays were extended by the library while the service was suspended, taking into account the readers’ interests.
How is the service available?
The service of Library Swap Point is provided only through either the door or the window without entering the libraries. As it takes place in unfavorable circumstances, by reservation in advance via our website or e-mail and waiting on the street, the service is provided as temporary opportunity for all those who miss the library collection that is continuously expanding with novelties. So, only those people are asked to return documents borrowed previously who want to take the opportunity of borrowing books at Library Swap Points.
Our usual remote services such as access to databases from home and Library from home online information service to support education and learning remain available continuously.
The following services are offered at Library Swap Points:
- return of books borrowed by readers,
- borrowing of reserved books in advance only,
- new registration and renewal of memberships that were due before closing,
- settlement of previous debts.
Please prefer our service of remote payment when you settle occurrent previous money debts.
We draw your attention that it is compulsory to wear mask covering nose and mouth and the rules of physical distancing of 1.5 metres (social distancing) also have to be observed when you use the service of Library Swap Points.
We kindly ask for your understanding and patience because of occurrent longer waiting time and unusual conditions of services.
How can you borrow?
The usual conditions of the Terms of Use apply to book circulation. As books requested in advance and reserved can be borrowed only, reservation is made temporarily free of charge again. Maximum 8 copies can be borrowed at a time. Books can be reserved from 19th April 2021. Reservations sent to Swap Points before 8 March are valid; so, they will be fulfilled continuously after restart of the service.
The quickest way to indicate your loan request is to click on "Hold" button at the titles found in the catalog. After logging in, you can get information about the status of online requested reservations in “My Libraries” menu. Our colleagues send a confirmation letter about the feasibility of reservation request via email in all cases; readers are also informed about the date when they can borrow the works they need.

Reservation can be made from the collection of Library of Zsókavár utca. Please take your reader's card with you in case of borrowing. Please do not take back documents borrowed from the Library of Szűcs István utca to the Swap Point at Library of Zsókavár utca. They can be returned only to Library of Szűcs István utca after reopening of the library. |
