Reflections
About Me
My name is Zsuzsanna Lipták.
I’ve always been a visual person; movies, paintings, drawings, and photographs have had a profound impact on me. I believe that a photograph can convey so much: mood, emotion, impression, opinion, an entire story, or a thought that the viewer can reflect upon. I have also been very interested in the technology that makes all of this possible.
I started taking photos in 2006 at the Budaörs Photo Club. We had an enthusiastic club leader from whom we all learned a great deal, though unfortunately, he is no longer with us. During my time there, we organized many group exhibitions featuring the members’ work.
In 2010, I joined the Montázs Senior Light Wizards Society, which continues today as the Senior Photographers Club. Each year, we organize an exhibition based on a theme chosen collectively, which we then take to several major cities outside Budapest after its debut.
Also in 2010, I participated in a three-month contemporary creative photography course organized by fotóoktás.hu. This experience had a profound influence on my approach to photography, shaping both my artistic vision and technical skills.
So far, I have had both group and solo exhibitions.
Regarding themes, my interests are wide-ranging. This current exhibition, titled “Reflections,” is centered on one of my favorite subjects. In everyday life, we often encounter reflections of light, shapes, and a variety of objects, buildings, and human figures on all kinds of surfaces.
For example: a snowy landscape reflected in an athlete’s glasses; the equestrian statues of the Millennium Monument mirrored in a puddle after the rain; the bustling streets of Paris on a rain-soaked sidewalk; rippling clouds on the glass windows of an office building; a rose painted on a riverboat reflected in the Danube; modern buildings mirrored on the silver spheres of a contemporary fountain; the entrance of the National Theatre from a low-angle view; or the windows of the modern buildings in the Corvin district.
I could go on, but please take a look at my photos - I hope that some of them will bring you joy.
Best regards,
Zsuzsanna Lipták
