Landscapes & People - Exhibition by Julika Nagy Ferencné

portrait of a womanThis is not the first occasion that Julika Nagy Ferencné has showcased her works at the Library of Bíró Mihály utca. This time, we have the opportunity to appreciate her harmonious landscapes and portraits until the end of December 2023.

We will quote from our exhibitor's introduction: "I was born and worked in Budapest until my retirement. Throughout my life, I have had a passion for drawing and engaging in handicrafts.
In museums, I had always admired the works of painters. I never thought I would become a painter after I retired.
In 2018, I met Veronika Simon, who manages the SMV 2000 painting workshop at Művészellátó. I began learning various painting techniques from her, and some of the paintings displayed on the walls were created during those courses.

I aim to capture the beauty of life and the splendor of nature in my paintings, each with my distinctive style.
I hope that, through observing these works of art, you too will relive and rekindle the experiences you have had in nature - such as the silence, tranquility, and more.
If this endeavor proves successful, then these images have not been created in vain.

I am not one to talk much about myself; I let my art speak for me. I mainly create my artwork using oil, but I also find pleasure in experimenting with acrylics, pastels, watercolors, charcoal, and graphite. The selection of the medium is guided by the subject and my mood at the time."

We look forward to welcoming all interested visitors!
