Closed due to remodeling

Our library will be closed between 24th December 2025 and 1st February 2026 - during this time, we are going to be working on an exciting development: we will have a new locker installed, accessible 24/7. This convenient solution is going to allow the readers to bring back their borrowed books outside opening hours, and to get their reserved books, as well, at the time of day it is easiest for them.

We are announcing with great joy that the Directorate of Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library approved the acquisition and full funding of the locker. Although our proposal did not earn enough votes during the community budget, this development is coming to fruition using the institutional source - making a long-cherished idea come true.

The installation, the installment of the entry system with the library card accessible outside opening hours on the doors, and putting RFID tags in the books is a multi-step process requiring careful attention and work, so we ask for your understanding about the longer time we will be closed for.
