Exhibition of New York and Budapest - Metal and Stone by Magdolna Vékás

New York and Budapest – Metal and Stone

New York and Budapest each represent a distinct world. How can you possibly compare a metropolis of ten million inhabitants with a small capital city of one and a half million in Central Europe? If New York is characterized by metal and glass, Budapest is defined by stone and brick; nevertheless, we can still discover similarities between the two cities. If we explore Budapest with attentive eyes, we may uncover echoes of New York within its streets. Similarly, if a photographer from Budapest wanders through New York, they'll encounter familiar details that remind them of home. This is how the two worlds depicted on the metal and stone panels converge.
