Budapest Silent Book Club
The Boulevard Library (1066 Budapest, Teréz körút 2-4.) is hosting a new and uniquely welcoming book club. Budapest Silent Book Club has been organizing events for two and a half years where reading as a form of relaxation, recharging, and shared experience takes center stage.Unlike traditional book clubs, there is no fixed or mandatory reading. Participants bring whatever they are currently reading and spend aboutn an hour reading together in a calm and pleasant environment. During the sessions, there is an opportunity — but no obligation — to talk about books, exchange recommendations, gather inspiration, or simply enjoy the experience of reading alongside others.
There are no deadlines, no expectations, and no “homework.” The focus is on freedom of choice and relaxed connection. Budapest Silent Book Club fosters an open, international community where both Hungarian and international participants can feel at home. Events are held in both English and Hungarian, ensuring everyone can join comfortably.
The planned dates in 2026 for the upcoming sessions are: February 28, March 14, March 28, April 11., April 25., May 9.
