Small Print and Photo Exhibition at the City Library of Vadász utca

Celebrating 70 years! - The exhibition titled “History of the City Library of Vadász utca in pictures” opened at the City Library of Vadász utca.

City Library of Vadász utca moved to its present location on 42 Vadász Street 70 years ago, in 1952. The history of the library, however, goes back much further. The library opened its doors in the building at 8 Károlyi Street in 1914, as the fourth branch library of the Metropolitan Public Library, under the name of Library No. 1. The photographs and small prints at the exhibition tell the story of more than 100 years, and were not placed on the wall, but rather on a symbolic "wheel of time" on the library's circular reference desk.

The exhibition can be visited from 1st December 2022 through 30th January 2023 during opening hours.
Venue: City Library of Vadász utca, 1054 Budapest, Vadász utca 42.
Mon, Wed, Thu: 13.00 - 19.00
Fri: 9.00 - 16.00
