The MESZL Gyula Krúdy Library Reopens

After a ten-week renovation funded by MESZL, the Gyula Krúdy Library on Fő tér in the 3rd district reopened its doors on November 10, 2025.

The library will evolve into a cultural and community space, better aligned with the needs of today’s users, featuring a reimagined layout and function. The children’s and youth section will be outfitted with design and decorative elements that reflect the intellectual and cultural heritage of the 3rd district, as well as the ambiance of ancient Roman monuments.

The library’s opening hours remain unchanged.

Library users who borrowed items from the substitute libraries provided during the renovation are kindly requested to return them to the same locations.

We look forward to welcoming both our returning and new readers to the renovated library!
