Ars Poetica

Opening of the exhibition by the Enamel Artists’ Group
An ars poetica - that is, an artist’s creative creed - means something different to every artist. Some preserve tradition, some seek new forms, while others strive to enrich our everyday surroundings with beauty and harmony. What the exhibiting fire enamel artists have in common is that they enrich and embellish our environment with their creations while also passing on inherited knowledge. Their works simultaneously convey artisanal expertise, artistic sensitivity, and personal reflection. Fire enamel is a special genre: a meeting of earth, metal, minerals, and fire. It is a creative process in which the human hand, patience, and the laws of the material together shape the work. The exhibition is not merely a presentation of artworks, but a shared dialogue with fire, colours, and forms - a meeting between artists and viewers.
