Painters’ Careers and Money
A lecture by Tamás Réti on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 5:30 PM.
"I have been painting and drawing for twenty-five years. I pursued my studies at independent art schools and art camps. However, I worked as a research economist and a university instructor. Painting and drawing complemented my writing and teaching, and I found joy in each of these activities. In addition to economics, I also enjoy studying art history. Writing allows me to reflect on the world; I write articles on economics for weekly newspapers.
My work in the visual arts brings me joy; it allows me to express my feelings and thoughts. I practice a branch of the visual arts that is people-centered, socially conscious, and goes beyond aesthetics." - Tamás Réti

The exhibition is open to the public during the library’s opening hours through October 22, 2026.
