Moonlight and Night Music

October 5, 2026 – January 16, 2027
The exhibition is on view during the library’s opening hours.
Venue: Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library, Library of Újpest (Non-Fiction Collection – upper floor)
Address: 1042 Budapest, Király u. 5.

We cordially invite you to the exhibition “Moonlight and Night Music” by painter György Farkas (1911–1995).

„And the value is obvious. György Farkas’s modernity is not a fashion trend, nor is it shock-seeking rebellion or a freshly imported commodity. It is a modernity forged step by step through struggle: a progressive, evolving, and ever-enriching body of work that is at once multifaceted and unified. It does not seek to strike aggressively at the heart, but rather to provoke thought.”

Viktor Julow - literary historian, 1981

Exhibition curator: Gábor Kovács B.
