Programming, robotics, reading

How are robotics and literature relating to each other? One of the most popular forms of experience-based skill development is robotics activities. Participants of these sessions are introduced to a literary work chosen for the interests of the age group present then the robotics devices are used by teams to dramatize scenes of the work.
On these sessions, the Bee-bot robot bee makes an appearance, but the ArTec sets, the Ozobot robot toy and the Micro:bit devices are also available.

Robotics activities has been appearing gradually in the MESZL program-lineup since 2019, at first bringing in outside partners, then in 2023 devices were bought from the tender published by the College of Libraries and Archives of the National Cultural Fund and won by MESZL, and also the aid given by the district municipalities.
Our librarians await anyone interested in the topic with their own developed sessions.
These types of activities were parts of the program series "Országos Könyvtári Napok" /National Library Days/, Internet Fiesta and the Budapest Book Capital 2023 Family Days, organized by the Békásmegyer, Budafok, Dagály street, Frigyes Karinthy, Kőbánya, Kelenföld, Török street and Üllői street Libraries among others, but occassional sessions are held, as well.
