MiraTone Young Artists Series #1

The event series, previously known as the New Millennium International Chamber Music Festival and Academy, will reintroduce itself to the public in 2024 with a new name and a refreshed image. The new name, MiraTone, is a unique acronym that also incorporates the first name of the festival’s founder, the American-Hungarian violinist Miranda Liu.
Our festival's world-class guest artists will do more than just perform in Budapest. In addition to the festival, the MiraTone Academy will offer masterclasses to students from over 10 countries. These students will also have the opportunity to showcase their talents at student concerts for the festival audience.
We’re excited about this year’s MiraTone Young Artists series, which will feature performances highlighting masterpieces from various musical periods.
The festival program includes a diverse range of instruments. Alongside the string quartet (violin, viola, and cello), you’ll also hear the flute, clarinet, and piano, presented in both solo and chamber music performances.
The series' first event was held at the Ötpacsirta Salon in the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library.
The final concert program will be a surprise, as the participants will create it during the course. However, given the talent of our applicants and their preparation in the masterclasses, we can expect truly exceptional performances.
