British Film Days at Puskin Cinema
After a multi-year hiatus, the British Film Days is making its return to Budapest. From March 20–23, film lovers can enjoy an exciting selection of screenings at Puskin Cinema. Over four days, audiences will have the chance to explore eight films, offering a fresh and diverse glimpse into British cinema.
The selection opens with a dose of British humor in The End, directed by Joshua Oppenheimer and starring Tilda Swinton, who recently received the Honorary Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement at the Berlinale. The lineup also includes Bird, a 2024 drama written and directed by Andrea Arnold, and Harvest, an adaptation of Jim Crace’s novel, written and directed by Athina Rachel Tsangari.
All films are subtitled in Hungarian. The screening series is organized as a joint program by the British Council and the Budapest International Film Festival (BIFF).
