Extended opening hours during the spring exam period of 2024/2025 term in the MESZL Central Library
As per the request of Budapest General Assembly, the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library held a survey from 24th January to 8th February 2025 among higher education students about the use of the Central Library during exam periods. We would like to thank those who helped the user satisfaction and needs assessment with their responses.
After assessing the results of the survey, the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library, as an experiment, is providing study room services outside the regular opening hours from 15th May to 30th June 2025 in the designated reader areas of the Central Library.
In this test period, the following services are going to be available on weekdays from 9 AM to 10 AM and from 8 PM to 9 PM, and on Saturdays from 4 PM to 6 PM:
- local studying
- WiFi
- catalogue
- access to databases
- self-servicing reprography services
These study room services will be provided in the Exhibition and Study room and the rooms of the 4th and 5th floors for all visitors with valid library cards.
During this test period, every other service - including registration, document loan and storage requests -, and other reader rooms will be accessible during the regular opening hours (weekdays: 10 AM to 8 PM, Saturdays: 10 AM to 4 PM).
