Children's library
Our library opened in November 1975, in the Pataky Community Center in the 10th District. The designers of the building created the largest district library of public education in Budapest.
During the 2012 renovations, the children’s library got much nicer, and its area and stock increased. We await readers with more than 100.000 books in a friendly environment.
Fairy tale books, fold-out books, poem books, a separate section for teen- and educational literature and also slide strips, DVDs and audio books wait for You and your friends.
Every year we organize a playhouse and plays on multiple occasions, every month we have crafts activities, all of these you can attend free of charge.
You can find out about our programs on the website, our Facebook page and the flyers and posters pinned up in the Sándor Kőrösi Csoma Community Center of Kőbánya.
Since we have connections with the kindergartens and schools of the district, we have sessions for library use and storytime you and your class can take part in. We also have reading projects, programs with the theme of holidays and anniversaries, exhibitions, playful challenges and fun puzzles.
We gladly welcome your class amongst our returning groups!
