Children are gladly welcome in our separate children’s section!
Aside from about 8500 books, you can find and borrow poem and music CDs for kids, fairy tale DVDs, audio books and newly popular slide strips.
Stepping into the large windowed area, the youngest ones can dive into fold-out books, picture books, a play-mat and lots of toys. The kindergartners can browse amongst a lot of beautifully illustrated fairy tale books and educational books with lots of pictures. We, of course, thought of the young school students getting a taste of reading, so we collected for the beginners the big-lettered books filled with colourful drawings on separate shelves. For the elementary school students, we have a wide variety of kid’s novels, but the high school students can also find themselves reading material amongst the very popular teen novels, an important niche even in publishing literature. Next to the educational kid’s literature are also the books for parents and about raising children.
We consider it important that kids and grownups alike can feel right at home in our library.
