About us
Our library situated on the border of Pasarét és Hűvösvölgy is near town center; it is accessible easily. It is along a main road, the library can be found in a heritage building.
The mansion was the home of the actress Emília Márkus; it was built on the basis of the plans of architects Béla Jánszky and Tibor Szívessy in 1912. The library moved to the groundfloor of the building in summer of 2003. Its rooms mellowed by age are completely good if we want to hold cultural events (including music and literary programs); it is demonstrated by the big bunch of programs that were held in the last few years and you can read about them in Hungarian by clicking to the links on the page Vendégeink voltak (Our guests were...).
The library provides general services: circulation of books, audio books, journals. The readers can use computers and WiFi (with own devices) in the library. Group visits can be organized upon request to popularize our library to pupils and students of the neighborhood.
