Aboust us
Our library started its operation in 1997. Ten years later, in 2007 we reformed our services and our appearance, both inside and outside. The entrance hall and the main area were renovated to be accessible for disabled people, as well. In 2018, the outside of the building was renovated, too, when it got a new roofing, insulation and the doors and windows were replaced.
In 2020, during the mandatory shutdown, we reorganized the insides. Now the children’s library, the teen-corner and a larger periodicals section have got separate rooms. Also, the available subjects of our books were expanded.
Our library has a small inner garden, which our readers can use during Spring and Summer and can take a look at our two turtles. Our media library includes a top-class CD collection, which awaits music fans with various genres for their listening pleasure. On the first floor lending area the scientific literature can be found in the large free-shelf room. For those wishing to study, we have two smaller thematic reading areas, and our members can freely use the computers here to access the databases we are subscribed to.
The cultural foundation operating in our library - Humanitas Cultural Foundation, tax number: 19671994-1-41 - helps us gather more documents and organize events of high standards.
