News, e-books, e-journals - our database collection has been enlarged

Access to four new databases is made available to users by EBSCO.

E-Journals
database provides article-level access to thousands of e-journals available through EBSCO Subscription Services.
For users with a valid subscription, EBSCO's SmartLinks technology provides direct links to the publishers’ contents. Many articles are available by open access but some of them are not.

ERIC (Educational Resource Information Center) is the largest and most widely used education database. It provides access to education related volumes and resources containing more than 1.3 million records;  it also provides access to information from journals of the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index databases.

Newswires database provides near real-time access to top world news from Associated Press, United Press International, CNN Wire and Business Wire news agencies. The collection covers AP Financial News, AP Top News, AP WorldStream, AP U.S. Politics & Government, AP 50 State Reports, UPI Business, UPI Entertainment, UPI Sports, UPI Top News, and more. The index to the full text content in EBSCO Newswires is held for a rolling 30-day archive by EBSCO, so users can search the previous 30 days relating to their search interest.

eBook Collection has the same content as the previously purchased eBook Academic Collection. For more information please see „Database menu”.

Databases are available at all locations of FSZEK (in-library use) and also remotely, from the EBSCO interface.

Valid reader card with borrowing privileges is required to log in the databases.

The databases are available by clicking on the following link:
