An open bookcase can be used by the public in Erzsébetváros from  21 July 2021

Non-stop service of a book swap point  is provided.

The first  open bookcase became available for the public in Erzsébetváros in 7th district, on the corner of Rózsák tere (Square of Roses) and Huszár street on 21 July 2021.

The project of the non-stop book swap point was launched with the sentence “Put in a book, leave it and take another one instead” by the municipality of Erzsébetváros and Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library.

The opening of the book swap point was held by Péter Niedermüller mayor of Erzsébetváros, dr. Lajos Oláh  district representative in the Parliament and dr. Péter Fodor general director of Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library who placed books in the bookcase  (one per person).

You can watch the short video summary of the event on Péter Niedermüller’s  Facebook site  (in Hungarian).
